EBRD technical assistance project in electronic communications under way
On October 6 the technical assistance project “Communications Regulatory Development”, funded by EBRD was launched in Chisinau in a joint meeting of representatives from EBRD and Great Village International Consultants (GVIC) with officials from the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI).

ANRCETI supports optimization of statistical systems dealing with ICT
Recently, decision-makers of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI - www.anrceti.md), in a meeting held with the representatives of UNDP project - Strengthening the National Statistical System - discussed issues related to the way statistics reflects the development of information and communications technologies (ICT). The meeting was attended by Mr. Adrian Nica, international expert, senior consultant of the World Bank office from Romania, project managers, representatives of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications (MITC), National Statistical Bureau (NSB).

EBRD technical assistance project in electronic communications to be launched in october
The technical assistance project “Communications Regulatory Development” offered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Development (ANRCETI), is scheduled to be launched in October. The project is estimated at € 898,3 thousand, planned to last for two years.

ANRCETI and Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) from Bulgaria will exchange experience
The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) and the Communications Regulatory Commission from Bulgaria will create, in the nearest future, expert groups in order to identify the issues of common interest in terms of regulation, in order to subsequently proceed to exchange of experience in these issues.

ANRCETI approved ghuide for providers of public electronic communications services
The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technologies (ANRCETI) approved, for the first time the Guide for Providers of Public Electronic Communications Services with respect to observance of end users’ rights. Adopting this document fits the chain of actions taken by the Agency, for the purpose of ensuring provision of higher-quality electronic communications services and better user protection.

Administrative board summons public session

ANRCETI begins public consultations on two administrative board decisions
The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) has displayed on its Internet page, for public consultations, two draft Administrative Board Decisions: (i) on the use of location-independent numbers in public electronic communications networks and (ii) on access to special-tariff numbers (Premium rate) provided within public electronic communications networks. The consultations are scheduled for 13.07.2009 – 17.08.2009.
