Public session to approve concession procedure of licenses for the use of limited resources
The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) announces public session to approve concession procedure (doc. in state language) of licenses for the use of limited resources in the provision of electronic communications. The session is scheduled for Thursday, February 25, at 14.00, ANRCETI office, Conference Room (bd. 134, Stefan cel Mare).

Moldovan ICT specialists visiting Czech Republic to share experience with czech coleagues
Today, a delegation from the Republic of Moldova is concluding its 5-day study tour in the Czech Republic. Sergiu Sitnic, Director of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI - www.anrceti.md), is one of the delegates. Moldovan specialists were invited to study the practices of co-operation between public authorities, private sector and non-governmental organizations in building the information society. The tour is supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

Foreign experts will offer assistance to ANRCETI in drafting market regulation strategy
A team of experts from consulting company Great Village International Consultants (GVIC) from Canada will offer assistance to the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) in drafting the strategy of electronic communications market regulation for a medium term. This is one of the subjects to be discussed by the experts, whose mission to Chisinau is scheduled for January 20 - 28, 2010 as part of the technical assistance project „Communications Regulatory Development”, offered to ANRCETI by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

In 2009, ANRCETI assigned 722 thousand telephone numbers to electronic communications market players
In 2009 The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) assigned over 722 thousand numbers from the National Numbering Plan to providers of electronic communications networks and/or services requested for operational activity. The total of numbering resources assigned by the regulator in 2009 does not significantly differ from the one assigned in 2008.

In 2009, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) authorized 202 economic entities to operate in the sector: 166 – to provide electronic communications networks and/or services and 36 – information technology services.

Newly-appointed ANRCETI director presented to staff
On Monday, December 28, Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Lazar, Minister of Economy, presented the newly appointed ANRCETI Director, Sergiu Sitnic, to the regulator’s staff. He was appointed for a 4-year term, by Government Decree no. 870 of December 24, 2009.

ANRCETI made a surprise for children attending „Orfeu” nursery school from Chisinau
On Tuesday, December 22 the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) organized a matinee for over 70 children attending the nursery school „Orfeu” of the pilot Complex of curative pedagogy from Chisinau, which is under ANRCETI patronage.
