EBRD training program for ANRCETI has started
Last week the training program for ANRCETI specialists started, which had been planned as a part of EBRD technical assistance project „Communications Regulatory Development”.

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) has entered JSC MOLDTELECOM in the Public Register of Providers as a provider of 3G mobile electronic communications services.

ANRCETI starts public consultations on new Board decision
The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) has placed on its Internet page, for public consultations, the draft Administrative Board decision, on Regulating Access to electronic communications services provided via access codes 1600-1639. The consultation is planned to last for 15 calendar days. Comments and recommendations are welcome through the deadline - December 16.

Mobile market has strengthened positions in third quarter of 2009
Within 9 months of 2009, the volume of sales on mobile market increased, compared to the same timeframe of 2008, by 3,24% and were estimated at 2 billion 202,77 mil. lei, as shown in the data available with the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI).

Number of Internet subscribers growing fast
In the timeframe January – September 2009, the number of broadband Internet subscribers at fixed locations increased by 43,5% and was estimated at 165,2 thousand, whereas the number of customers using mobile broadband Internet (monthly traffic less than 1 MB) reached 62 thousand, as shown in the data available with the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI).

Sales on fixed market show signs of stabilization
Data available with ANRCETI with reference to fixed market show that in the timeframe January – September 2009, the volume of sales on the fixed market was estimated at 1 billion 408,64 mil. Lei, a 16,4% decrease compared to the similar timeframe of 2008, whereas the sales of the third quarter of 2009 were estimated at 481,59 mil. lei, as compared to the same period of time in 2008.

ANRCETI approved regulatory and monitoring fee for 2010
The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technologies (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md), at one of its regular sessions, examined the situation on the electronic communications market and the tendencies of its development, the draft plan of ANRCETI activity and budget for 2010, and as a follow-up, on basis of those documents, approved the quantum of the regulatory and monitoring fee for 2010.

ANRCETI announcing public consultations on draft procedure of license concession

Company „ORANGE MOLDOVA” fulfilled ANRCETI requirements
The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) informs that the mobile operator SA „Orange Moldova” complied to all the requirements ANRCETI established in the warning letter dated October 9, 2009, concerning the company’s noncompliance installing its communications network in village Crihana Veche, district Cahul, situated in the border zone of Moldova. Considering this fact, the Agency Administration ordered case dismissal.

ANRCETI warning mobile service provider „ORANGE MOLDOVA”
The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) warned mobile company „Orange Moldova” against noncompliance with a number of obligations contained in the normative acts governing the activities of installation, operation, management, maintenance and/or liquidation of electronic communications networks at the state border of the R. of Moldova and demanded that the company fulfill the requirements.
