Sales on fixed telephony market dropped, in 2009, by 12,7%
2009 is the second year when the sales on the fixed market dropped, the total being 1 billion 927 million lei, which is a 12,7% decrease compared to 2008. In 2008, this indicator dropped by 5,8%, compared to 2007. This data are provided by a Report of the National regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) regarding the development of this market in 2009.

Internet access market growing 34,7% in 2009
In 2009, the value of the market of Internet access services at fixed locations grew by 34,7% over 2008, the total value being 436,4 mil. lei. This is the highest turnover registered in the recent five years by data service providers, as shown in a report on the developments on this market by the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI).

In 2009 sales on mobile market exceeded 3,03 billion lei
A report of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) on market development shows that in 2009 the total volume of mobile market sales constituted 3 billion 33,6 million lei, which is 4% increase, compared to 2008. However, according to document, the mobile penetration rate in 2009 was the lowest in the recent five years.

Direct access of Operators to the Global Internet will have positive impact on users
Sergiu Sitnic, Director of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) said that in 2010, the number of providers of electronic communications services that will benefit by direct access to the Global Internet, is expected to increase, whereas the intensified competition on broadband Internet market will be conductive to a drop in tariffs for the end users of those services.

ANRCETI Administrative Board to approve two new decisions in public session
The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technologies (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) is announcing about its intention to examine and approve, in a public session scheduled for February 25, two draft decisions: on regulating access to electronic communications services provided through access codes 1600-1639 and procedure of concession of licenses for the use of limited resources in the provision of public electronic communications networks and/or services.
