On May 20 - 21, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI - www.anrceti.md) will host the next mission of the technical assistance project offered to ANRCETI by the consulting company Great Village International Consultants (GVIC) of Canada, financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

In the first quarter of this year, the number of subscribers to broadband Internet access services at fixed locations increased by 60.7% over the same period of 2009: from 135,000 to 217,000 and the number of 3G mobile Internet users reached 96,000, according to the data of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), covering the developments on this market segment.

The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (NRAECIT) wishes to extend congratulations and best wishes to all ICT workers, to the Agency employees, on World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, celebrated on May 17.

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) has placed on its Internet page, for public consultations, the draft Administrative Board Decision on approving the statistical reports forms for providers of public electronic communications networks and/or services. The deadline for recommendations is June 7, 2010.

A team of experts from National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI - www.anrceti.md), headed by its director, Sergiu Sitnic is taking part in the Regional Development Forum for Europe and CIS „Next Generation Networks (NGN) and broadband communications (Broadband)” that opened on Tuesday, May 4, in Chisinau and will last till May 6. The Forum is organized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications (MTIC).

On April 29 - 30, a delegation of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI - www.anrceti.md) attended, the V Conference of regulatory authorities of Black Sea and Caspian countries “Future Broadband”, in Istanbul, Turkey. The conference was organized by the Information Technologies and Communications Authority from Turkey (www.btk.gov.tr), the party that invited ANRCETI to participate.

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI - www.anrceti.md) has placed on its website, for public consultation, the draft Administrative Board decision on identification of a new relevant market - the market for voice call termination on individual fixed telephone networks. The consultation will run until May 19, 2010, this being the deadline for submitting recommendations on the document.

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI - www.anrceti.md) has displayed for public consultation, on its website, the preliminary Analysis of the regulatory impact (RIA, doc. in state language) of draft Administrative Board Decision on regulating the access to numbers regardless of location. The public consultation will last 15 calendar days. Recommendations are welcome through the deadline – May 10, 2010.
