2.10.2020ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS MARKET REACHED 1.4 BILLION LEI, IN SECOND QTR 2020 The volume of revenues from electronic communications sector (mobile and fixed voice, mobile and fixed broadband, audiovisual broadcasting and other) decreased by 6.8% in the second quarter of this year, compared to the same period of last year, and was estimated at 1.4 billion lei, according to the Report on market evolution in the second quarter of 2020, published on the official website of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI). 15.09.2020MARKET FOR PAY TV SERVICES VIA IPTV TECHNOLOGY CONTINUES TO GROW IN SECOND QTR OF 2020 According to statistical data, aggregated by the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), the market for pay TV (via cable networks and IPTV), in the second quarter of 2020, there was a increase both in the total volume of sales and in the total of subscribers to these services. The volume of sales increased, compared to the similar period of 2019, by 4.4 million lei (10.8%) and reached 45.5 million lei, and the total number of subscribers increased, compared to the end of 2019, by 11.7 thousand (3.5%) and reached to 347.2 thousand. 7.09.2020USE OF MOBILE BROADBAND SERVICES INCREASED IN SECOND QTR 2020 According to the statistical data presented by the three mobile providers in the second quarter of this year, mobile broadband consumption increased, amid decreasing of the total number of users and the total volume of revenues generated by these services. Thus, the traffic generated by mobile broadband users (services 3G, 4G and dedicated access (via modems / routers)) increased by 46.2% and reached 35.5 million GB. Of the total traffic volume - 18.7 million GB (+ 53.8%) was generated by means of smartphones, and GB 16.8 million (+ 38.5%) via dedicated access. Details |
4.09.2020MOBILE USERS GENERATED HIGHER VOLUME OF VOICE TRAFFIC IN SECOND QTR 2020 Statistical data submitted to the National Agency for Regulation in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) by mobile providers show that the volume of voice traffic generated by users during the second quarter 2020 increased, compared to the same period last year, by about 5,9% and reached 1.7 billion minutes.
