National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) announces public meeting for Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 10.00, to examine and submitted for approval the following draft Board Decisions:
1) the draft decision on the measures for e preventive regulation of the market for access of end-users, natural and legal persons, to a fixed location in the public telephone network

Considering that "Posta Moldovei", which operates as a universal postal service provider, presented to the National Agency for Regulation in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) a draft of Conditions of access to the public postal network, ANRCETI invites the postal service providers to comment on it.

The National Agency for Regulation in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) updated the web mapping application Mobile Services Coverage Map and quality parameters, based on measurements performed by the National Radio Frequency Management Service (SNMFR), on 34 national roads and 45 urban localities, in the timeframe July, September - October 2020. On February 24, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) placed on its official website www. anrceti.md, for public consultations, draft Administrative Board Decision on approval of statistical form regarding filtering service for Internet content with negative impact on children, offered by providers of publicly available electronic communications networks and/or services (hereinafter - the draft Decision). The consultation will last till March 17, 2021, this being the deadline for submitting proposals on the document.

The Examination Commission for issuance of amateur radio certificates from the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) announces the organization of the examination session.

According to the data of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) on the evolution of telephone number portability, 68 430 telephone numbers were ported in 2020, higher by 11 483 numbers compared to 2019. Of the total ported numbers, 65 779 were mobile phone numbers, and 2 651- fixed phone numbers. The average number of monthly ported numbers increased by 957 and made up 5 702 numbers.

The total revenues from activities in the electronic communications sector (mobile and fixed voice, mobile and fixed broadband, retransmission of audiovisual programs and other) in the third qtr. of 2020 decreased versus the same period last year, by 5.1% and totaled slightly just over 1.5 billion lei, according to the Report on Market Evolution for the third Qtr. 2020, published on the official website of the National Regulatory Agency for Regulation in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI).

The National Agency for Regulation in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) has signed a Letter of Engagement with the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The document was signed remotely by Octavian Rău, ANRCETI Director and Doreen Bogdan-Martin, BDT Director.

The statistical data on the evolution of the fixed voice market in the third quarter of 2020, presented by the 23 providers to the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), show that the total number of users of these services decreased by 2,9%, compared to the end of 2019, estimated at over 1 million, while the total sales volume on this market segment decreased by 13.8%, compared to the third quarter of last year, making up 91.8 million lei, whereas the voice traffic generated by users has hardly changed, recording a total volume of approximately 265 million minutes.

According to the statistical data on the evolution of mobile voice market, submitted to the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), by mobile providers, in the third quarter of 2020 this market increased in terms of voice traffic in mobile networks by 8.8%, compared to the same quarter of 2019, reaching over 1.7 billion minutes. The volume of sales decreased by 8% and was estimated at 765 million lei, and the total number of subscribers decreased, compared to the end of 2019, by 7.8% and showed 4.1 million.
