ANRCETI INVITES POSTAL COMMUNICATIONS PROVIDERS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PILOT STUDY, ORGANIZED BY UPU

The National Agency for Regulation in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) has been selected to participate in a pilot study, organized by the International Bureau of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). This study provides for access to the OSCAR tool for postal communications providers. The study is planned to take place in the timeframe January - April 2020.

BIGGEST QUANTITY OF MOBILE AND FIXED TELEPHONE NUMBERS WERE PORTED IN 2019

In 2019, the number of subscribers who used the telephone number portability service increased significantly, compared to 2018, by 22.7 thousand and reached 56.9 thousand, according to the data of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) on the evolution of telephone number portability in the preceding year.

Violation of rules for protection of electronic communications lines and installations led to penalties on several legal entities and individuals

In 2019, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), as a fact-finding entity for contraventions in the areas falling under its competence, identified 67 such cases. The contravention cases were started by ANRCETI in relation to 44 legal entities, 21 natural persons and 2 persons holding liability positions.
