National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) has placed on its Internet page, for public consultations, the draft (doc. in state language) Administrative Board Decision on amending the Procedure for transfer of licenses for the use of limited resources in the provision of electronic communications networks/services (hereinafter Procedure), approved by ANRCETI Board Decision no.08 of February 25, 2010. The deadline for submitting recommendations on this document is June 22, 2012.

The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) is announcing a public session to adopt four decisions with regards to number portability implementation: Procedure for organizing and conducting tender to select centralized data base administrator for number portability implementation in the Republic of Moldova (doc. in state language), Terms of Reference for the Tender (doc. in state language), The Announcement about the Tender (doc. in state language), and the Administrative Board Decision with regards to establishing the Tender Commission (doc. in state language). The session is scheduled for Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at 14.00, ANRCETI office (134, Stefan cel Mare, bd. 5th floor, Office 501).

The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) is announcing (Tuesday, May 15, at 14.00), a public hearing session to review and approve the draft (doc. in state language) decision on imposing changes to the Reference Interconnection Offer (RIO) of JSC "Moldtelecom". The meeting will take place at ANRCETI office (134, Stefan cel Mare, 5th floor, office 501).

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) would like to remind providers of electronic communications networks and/or services about their obligation, as required by Administrative Board Decision no. 33 (doc. in state language) of 17.11.2011, to submit their statistical reports on the evolution of electronic communications markets in the first quarter of 2012 to ANRCETI before May 15, 2012.

This year the electronic communications sector (mobile, fixed communications, Internet access and data transmission, broadcasting and re-transmission of audiovisual programs) will increase over 2011 by 2% and will amount to 6,3 - 6,4 billion lei. These are the estimations from the Annual Report of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), made publicly available on the Agency’s Internet site. The document describes the main activities performed by the regulator last year, as well as the evolution of the electronic communications markets during the reporting timeframe.

Last week, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), organized a seminar for providers of electronic communications networks/service: "Consistent Implementation of Regulatory Documents - a prerequisite for success in starting and developing a business in electronic communications". This was the first seminar of a series of such events that the regulator intends to hold this year in order to improve dialogue with the providers.

Today, April 27, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) published the announcement about availability of national short numbers 116000, 116111 and 116123 to be assigned for harmonized services of social character. The applications for license issuance for the use of these numbers can be submitted to ANRCETI on May 1 – June 1, 2012.

The total volume of investments in electronic communications sector (mobile communications, fixed telephony, Internet access, data transmission, broadcasting and retransmission of audiovisual services) increased over 2010 by 4,9% and reached 1 billion 810 million lei. These are the data of the Report by the National regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) about the evolution of the four markets in 2011.

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) is announcing a public hearing session to modify and amend the Administrative Board Decisions no. 60-75, 77-79 of 23.12.2010 on imposing special obligations to providers with significant market power on the markets for voice call termination in individual fixed telephone networks (market 3) and in individual mobile telephone networks (market 7). The session is scheduled for Friday, April 27, at 10.00 a.m., at ANRCETI office (134, Stefan cel Mare bd., 5th floor, Conference Room).
