3.03.2016The use of public fixed telephony services continued to decrease in 2015 Statistical data about the developments of fixed telephony market in 2015, published today on the official website of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), shows that the number of subscribers and the voice traffic continued to reduce in this sector in fixed networks. Consequently, the number of fixed telephony subscribers decreased, in comparison with the end of 2014, by more than 15,8 mil (-1,3%) and made around 1,2 million and the total volume of voice traffic through fixed networks decreased by almost 20% and totaled approximately 2,1 billion minutes. 1.03.2016Mobile user talks a monthly average of about 3 hours and 46 minutes During 2015, the average mobile traffic per mobile user increased in comparison with 2014 by 7% and made 226 minutes or 3h and 46 minutes, while the total volume of voice traffic in mobile networks increased by 2,7% and exceeded 6,7 billion 315 million minutes, as shown by the statistical data about the evolution of mobile market last year, published today by National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) on its official website. 10.02.2016Almost double number of licenses for spectrum use issued in 2015 The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) issued last year, following providers’ requests, 48 licenses for the use of spectrum in the provision of electronic communications networks and services, which by 92% exceeds the number of licenses granted by ANRCETI in 2014. 15.01.2016Results of Planned Inspections Performed by ANRCETI in Qr IV 2015 In the timeframe October – December 2015, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) carried out 14 planned inspections of the activity of electronic communications providers. Within the inspections, ANRCETI experts verified providers’ compliance with the legal provisions in force governing the electronic communications sector. The inspections took place according to the schedule of inspections, developed under the provisions of the Law on State Control on Business Activity and placed on ANRCETI Web site. Details |
6.01.2016Number of Subscribers Using Number Portability Service Went Up 27% in 2015 In 2015, the number of subscribers who used the number portability service increased over 2014 by 27,1% (+10,2 thousand) and exceeded 47,8 thousand, according to the data of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) on the evolution of number portability last year. In Moldova, the number portability service became available in July 2013. This service allows any mobile or fixed user to keep their phone number when switching providers. Details |
