The statistical data about the evolution of the fixed Internet access market published by the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) show that in the reporting period the share of subscribers to fixed high speed Internet exceeded 50%. 30.11.2015NUMBER OF SUBSCRIBERS TO FIXED TELEPHONY AND FIXED LINE VOICE TRAFFIC CONTINUES TO DECLINE In the third quarter of 2015, the number of fixed telephone subscribers and the voice traffic continued to decline, while there was a slight increase of revenue from these services, a trend that took shape in the first two quarters of this year. Thus, in three quarters, the number of fixed telephone subscribers dropped by 12,2 thousand (¬1%) since the end of 2014, showing 1 million 206,1 thousand. Details |
26.11.2015MAIN INDICATORS OF MARKET FOR MOBILE ACCESS TO INTERNET CONTINUE TO GO UP The statistical data about the evolution of the market for mobile access to Internet in the nine months of 2015, aggregated by the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), show that during this timeframe the number of users of these services increased by 3,7% up to over 1 million 750 thousand, the Internet traffic generated by them increased by 38% and constituted 28 million 229,9 GB, the providers’ revenues from these service increased by 19,5% and totaled over 429,5 million lei. 25.11.2015ORANGE MOLDOVA WILL BE GRANTED TWO NEW LICENSES FOR USE OF RADIO FREQUENCIES FOR TERRESTRIAL MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) decided on Tuesday, November 24, to release to company Orange Moldova two new licenses for the right to use radio frequencies available in the bands 800 MHz and e900 MHz, for the provision of public terrestrial cellular communications networks and services. 23.11.2015MORE THAN 4,7 BILLION MINUTES OF CONVERSATIONS BY MOBILE TELEPHONE USERS IN NINE MONTHS 2015 In the timeframe January - September 2015 the total volume of voice traffic in mobile networks increased compared to the same period of last year by about 5% and exceeded 4,7 billion minutes, while the average monthly traffic per user increased by 8,2% up to 225 minutes or three hours and 45 minutes.
