13.03.2018Slight Increase on Pay TV Market According to the statistical data on the evolution of the pay TV market (cable and IPTV networks), aggregated by the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) in 2017, the main indicators of this market slightly increased compared to 2016. Thus, the number of pay TV subscribers grew by about 53.7 thousand (+19.9%) and reached 323.7 thousand, while the total volume of revenues from these services reached 159.5 million lei, an increase by 7.7 million lei (+5.1%). 7.03.2018Number of Subscribers to Fixed Internet at High and Very High Data Transfer Rates is Increasing In 2017, the total number of fixed broadband subscribers increased by about 5% compared to 2016, up to 584.3 thousand, while the number of those who contracted high speed connections increased by 12.8% to over 335.1 thousand. The most important yearly evolution was attested on the segment of connections above 100 Mbps, their number increasing by 23%, up to about 40 thousand.
