ANRCETI set new obligations for premium rate service providers

The providers authorized to use telephone numbers for special-tariff services – Premium Rate via public electronic communications services are obligatorily required to inform the end-users, in advance and free of charge, by phone or through other public information facilities about the conditions of Premium Rate service provision. This requirement is set forth in the special license conditions authorizing the use of numbers for Premium rate services in electronic communications networks, approved by ANRCETI Administrative Board Decision (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md).

ANRCETI delegation taking part in international forum on key telecommunications issues

ANRCETI delegation is currently taking part in the forth International Telecommunications Policy Forum (WTPF09), held in Lisbon, Portugal, on April 22-24. It is organized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), supported by the Ministry of Public Work, Transport and Communications of Portugal and is attended by representatives of governments, industry and regulators from ITU Member States.

Public consultations on draft universal service regulations under way

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) displayed on the web page, for public consultations, the draft Universal Service Regulations. The document is provided with an explanatory note and presents the analysis of the impact on the activity of electronic communications market players. The public consultations are scheduled to take place from 14.04.2009 to 04.05.2009. Comments and proposals with reference to the said draft from the interested persons are welcome to baidauz@anrceti.md.

The National Regulatory Agency in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) focused its activity on the implementation of the new Law on Electronic Communications, on the development and adoption of regulatory acts targeted at facilitating market entry, ensuring optimal conditions for the activity of all „market players” and enhancing competition for the benefit of end-users, shows the ANRCETI Report on Activity and Developments of Electronic Communications Market in 2008.
