ANRCETI established frequencies under license-free use in the Republic of Moldova

Owners of short range radiocommunication devices have the right to use several categories of frequencies without priorly obtaining a license for the use of radio frequencies/channels or a technical permit. This right is provided for in ANRCETI ( Administrative Board Decision on establishing the categories of radio frequencies, for the use of which no general authorization requirements are applied and no license or technical permit is required. The decision became effective on Friday, June 19, as it was published in the Official Gazette.


ANRCETI inviting to public hearings


The National regulatory Agency for electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – is inviting the providers of electronic communications networks and services and other interested parties to the first public hearing session on draft Methodology of Cost Calculation for Interconnection and Access services. The session is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 15.00, at ANRCETI office, 5th floor, Conference Room (134, Stefan cel Mare bd.).


ANRCETI announces public consultations on draft decision regarding quality of internet access services


Today, June 10, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – has made publicly available, on its Web page, the draft Administrative Board Decision on establishing the minimal quality indicators and considerations on measuring the parameter of these indicators in the provision of Internet access services. The consultations are scheduled for June 10 –25 2009.


ANRCETI will apply new tool to safeguard competition on electronic communications market


Sergiu Sitnic, Director of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), when asked to comment on the results of the EBRD assessment on the development of communications in transition economies with respect to Moldova, said that by the end of this year a new tool intended to safeguard competition will be applied on the electronic communications market – a mechanism required by the legislation in force and the recommendations recently provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The aforementioned assessment was presented at the end of May in Tbilisi, Georgia, an event attended by an ANRCETI delegation.


All fixed and mobile telephone users will have access to Freephone numbers


The providers of public fixed and mobile telephone networks are now under the obligation to ensure the access to Freephone numbers free of charge for callers. These numbers are assigned by the national Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) from the National Numbering Plan, based on licenses. This is a provision of ANRCETI Administrative Board Decision on regulating the provision of Freephone in public electronic communications networks, in force on Friday, June 5, 2009, after being published in the Official Gazette.
