ANRCETI Identified Market 1 as Susceptible to Ex-ante Regulation and Designated JSC Moldtelecom as SMP Provider on This Market

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) identified the market for access of end-users, natural and legal persons, to fixed locations of the public telephone network (market 1) as susceptible to ex-ante regulation and designated JSC Moldtelecom as SMP provider on this market. This Administrative Board Decision (doc. in state language) was approved, in a public session, on October 24^th. It came into effect on the date of approval and will be published in the Official Gazette.

ANRCETI established amount of regulatory and monitoring fee for 2014

The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) established, through a Decision (doc. in state language), the amount of the regulatory and monitoring fee for 2014, as 0,3% of the volume of revenue generated from electronic communications activities performed by electronic communications networks/services providers. The Decision was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova on October 25, 2013.

ANRCETI Delegation Taking Part in II Plenary Assembly of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Electronic Communications Regulators Network

On October 17-18, an ANRCETI Delegation, headed by Grigore Varanita, Director, is taking part, in the Plenary Assembly of the EaP Regulators Network, comprising the six countries EaP members (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, R. Moldova, Ukraine), hosted by the Regulator of Armenia, in Yerevan.

Court Confirmed Lawfulness of ANRCETI Application to Withdraw License of "Eventis Mobile"

Yesterday, September 9, the Court issued a decision upholding the legality and validity of the application of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) on withdrawal of activity license of JV "Eventis Mobile" LLC for cell mobile telephony service provision, starting August 16, 2013, when the Administrative Board approved a decision in this regard.

Number of Subscribers to Multi-Channel TV Services decreased by 3,6 thousand in the First Six Months of 2013

Statistical data on the evolution of multi-channel TV service market (cable, satellite, IPTV and MMDS), published today by the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), show that in the first half of 2013 there occurred a slight decrease in the number of subscribers to these services against a slight increase of revenues from sales of these services. The total number of subscribers reduced, compared to the end of 2012, by 1,3% (3,66 thousand) and constituted 281,2 thousand, whereas the revenues on this market segment increased over the corresponding timeframe of 2012 by 2,5% and totaled 82,7 mil. lei.
