29.03.2017ANRCETI Published Activity Report for 2016 on its Official Website The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) consider that the ANRCETI team coped with the challenges of 2016, the main challenge being the creation of the necessary tools to implement the Law on access to properties and shared use of infrastructure associated with public electronic communications networks and the Law on postal communications, in force since April 2016. 23.03.2017Main indicators of pay TV services market continued to decline in 2016 The statistical data on the evolution of the pay TV market (TV networks, cable and IP TV) in 2016, aggregated by the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), show that in 2016 the main indicators of this market continued to decline, a trend that has developed in the last three years. The total number of pay TV subscribers decreased, compared to 2015, by 5,3 thousand (-1,9%) and showed 269,9 thousand, while the revenues from these services declined by 5 million lei (-3.2%) and reached 151,7 million lei. 21.03.2017IN ONE YEAR NUMBER OF 4G MOBILE USERS TRIPLED In 2016, the number of 4G mobile users increased over 2015, by 184,1% up to 376,9 thousand , of which 319,1 thousand (up 184,6%) accessed the global network via smartphones and over 57, 8 thousand (up 181,1%) - via modems/cards/USB (dedicated access). During this period, the number of mobile 3G users increased by 14,6% to over 1,59 million.
