The statistical yearbook on the development of electronic communications in 2021, published on the official website of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) www.anrceti.md, shows that the electronic communications market, after a five-year recession, underwent a slight increase of 2.9%, compared to 2020, and totaled 6 billion 112 million lei. This is due to the increase of revenues on the mobile broadband market, by 6%, reaching 1 billion 281.4 million lei, revenues on fixed broadband market, by 4.1%, making up 1 billion 440.3 million lei, revenues from audiovisual broadcasting market, by 24.9%, totaling 353.9 million lei and revenues from other electronic communications activities, by 25.4% , totaling 896.6 million lei.
At the same time, the revenues from fixed voice dropped by 12% and totaled 334 million lei, and those from mobile voice decreased by 0.9% and reached 2 billion 889.1 million lei.
The highest average monthly revenue per user (ARPU) was reported on the fixed broadband market - 161.9 lei, by 2.8% down than in 2020, on the dedicated mobile broadband - of 94.8 lei, increased by 3.4%, on the mobile voice market - 66.4 lei, decreased by 6.1%. The value of this indicator on the pay-tv market was 49.1 lei, increased by 11.3%, and on that of fixed voice - 27.5 lei, down by 8.4%.
