National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

In the 3rd qtr. Of 2022, the volume of revenues generated by the electronic communications sector (mobile and fixed voice, mobile and fixed broadband, retransmission of audiovisual programs and other) increased, compared to the similar period last year, by 3% up to over 1bn. 568.4 million lei, according to the Report on market evolution in the 3rd qtr. of 2022, published on the official website of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) www.anrceti.md.

Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the revenues from services increased as follows:
mobile voice - by 2.1%, estimated at 780.1 million lei; mobile broadband - by 2.6 %, estimated at 347.7 million lei; fixed broadband services - by 2.5%, estimated at 371.6 million lei;
pay TV services - by 43, 5% estimated at 84.8 million lei; other electronic communications activities - by14.9%, estimated at 204.4 million lei. At the same time, the volume of revenues from fixed telephony services dropped by 21.5%, totaling 62.7 million lei.

The highest average monthly revenue per user (ARPU) was reported on the market of fixed broadband services - 157.8 lei, down 2.4% compared to the same period last year. The value of this indicator for data-only mobile broadband was 99.6 lei, up by 7%, for mobile voice - 61.7 lei (-10.1%), for pay TV services - 38.7 lei (-27.8%), and fixed voice services - 21.4 lei (-18.8%).
