The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) approved the following Board Decisions during the public session:
1. Decision regarding the limitation of the number of licenses for the use of radio frequencies/channels in the frequency band [2100 MHz] for the provision of terrestrial cell mobile electronic communications networks and services.
2. Decision for amending the Administrative Board Decision no. 31/2014 approving the Standard Special Conditions for the use of radio frequencies/channels in the frequency bands 791 - 821/832 - 862 MHz, 890 - 915/935 - 960 MHz, and 1710 - 1785/1805 - 1880 MHz for the provision of public terrestrial cell mobile electronic communications networks and services.
The Decisions are aimed at promoting efficient management of radio spectrum resources, ensuring the availability of sufficient frequency spectrum for the continuous development of broadband terrestrial cell mobile electronic communications networks and services, implementation of new generation technologies and services, as well as the continuity of services in the frequency band of 2100 MHz, currently provided by authorized providers.
The Decision regarding the limitation of the number of licenses for the use of radio frequencies/channels in the frequency band [2100 MHz] becomes effective on the date of its approval. According to the legislation, the decision is notified to the parties, published on ANRCETI official website (www.anrceti.md) and in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova.
The Decision amending HCA no. 31/2014 approving the Standard Special Conditions for the use of radio frequencies/channels in the frequency bands 791 - 821/832 - 862 MHz, 890 - 915/935 - 960 MHz, and 1710 - 1785/1805 - 1880 MHz for the provision of public terrestrial mobile cellular electronic communications networks and services is published on the official website of ANRCETI and comes into effect on December 9, 2023.
