National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

The volume of revenues from electronic communications activities (mobile and fixed voice, mobile and fixed broadband, broadcasting of audiovisual programs and other) in the third qtr. of this year increased compared to the same period of last year by 1.3% and totaled over 1.5 billion lei, according to the Report on market evolution in the third qtr. of 2021, published today on the official ANRCETI website.

Compared to the similar quarter of the previous year, revenues increased as follows: from mobile voice services - by 0.1% and reached 764.3 million lei, from the fixed broadband services - by 4.8 % and totaled 362.9 million lei, from mobile broadband services - by 8% and totaled 338.8 million lei, from pay TV services - by 29.5% and totaled 59 million lei, and from other electronic communications activities - by 3.3% and totaled 178 million lei. At the same time, the volume of revenues from fixed voice services decreased by 13.3%, totaling 79.8 million lei.

The highest average monthly revenue per user (ARPU) was reported on the market for fixed broadband access - of 162.4 lei, down by 2% compared to the same period last year. The value of this indicator on the dedicated mobile broadband market was 93 lei, increased by 0.4%, on the mobile voice market - 68.6 lei (-9.4%), on the pay TV market - 53.5 lei (+ 23.2%), and on the fixed voice market - 26.4 lei (-9.7%).
