National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

According to the data of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) on the evolution of telephone number portability, 68 430 telephone numbers were ported in 2020, higher by 11 483 numbers compared to 2019. Of the total ported numbers, 65 779 were mobile phone numbers, and 2 651- fixed phone numbers. The average number of monthly ported numbers increased by 957 and made up 5 702 numbers.

Most mobile phone numbers – 26 978 were ported to "Moldcell" network. 21 902 numbers were ported to "Moldtelecom" (Unite) network, and 16 899 to "Orange Moldova" network. At the same time, most fixed telephony numbers migrated to the networks of companies "Moldcell" - 1570 numbers, "StarNet Solutions" - 404, "Orange Moldova" - 343 and "Moldtelecom" - 151, 183 numbers were ported in the networks of other providers.

In the 7 years since the launch of portability, 341 778 telephone numbers have been ported in the Republic of Moldova, of which 320 162 are mobile telephony numbers and 21 616 are fixed telephony numbers.

Users of electronic communications services have the website www.portare.md at their disposal, on which they can find out in which network any telephone number used in the country operates, even if it has been ported. At the same time, the site provides details on the number porting procedure, but also answers to questions related to number portability.
