The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) presented, on its official website www.anrceti.md, two draft Administrative Board Decisions for public consultation:
1. Draft Decision for modification of the Annex to the Administrative Board Decisions no. 34/2011 on approval of the Regulation on Number Portability;
2. Draft Decision for modification of some previous Board Decisions.
The consultation will run until June 16, 2022, which is the deadline for submitting recommendations on these draft documents.
According to the Informative Note no. 1, the Draft Decision aims to operate a series of modifications to the Annex of the Board Decision no. 34/2011 on the approval of the Regulation on number portability, in particular, with a view to further ensure the number portability.
According to the Informative Note no. 2, the draft Decision aims to amend the Annex of the Board Decision no. 8/2013 on Approval of the technical and commercial conditions for the implementation of number portability in the Republic of Moldova and the approval of the Addendum to the General Standard Agreement for the organization, operation, administration and maintenance of the centralized database for implementation of number portability in the Republic of Moldova approved by Board Decision no. 16/2013. Also the document is meant to approve the Additional Act no. 3 to the Agreement on the organization, operation, administration and maintenance of the centralized database, the subject of which is to extend this Agreement.
The above-mentioned draft Decisions aim to continue to offer the possibility to end users, upon their will, to switch the provider of publicly available electronic communications services, while keeping the phone number.
