National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

In 2022, the number of mobile and fixed telephone numbers ported to other networks increased, compared to 2021, by 4,662 numbers, reaching a total of 91,075 numbers, according to the data processed by the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) about the evolution of phone number portability. Of the total ported numbers, 90,422 were mobile phone numbers, and 653 - fixed phone numbers. An average of 7589 numbers were ported monthly during last year, increased by 388 numbers

Of the 90,422 mobile phone numbers ported in the previous year, most numbers – 33,616 (37.2%) were ported to Moldtelecom, 32,850 numbers (36.3%) to Moldcell and 23956 numbers (26.5%) – to Orange Moldova. From the 653 ported fixed telephone numbers, company StarNet Solutii received 233 numbers (35.7%), Moldtelecom - 126 numbers (19.3%), Moldcell - 101 numbers (15.5%), Orange Moldova - 78 numbers (11.9%), and the networks of other providers - 115 numbers (17.6%).

Since the launch of the portability service in the Republic of Moldova, which took place in July 2013, 519,266 numbers were ported between networks. Of these, 495,924 were mobile numbers and 23,342 were fixed numbers.
