National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) published on its official website the Report on the evolution of the electronic communications market in the first qtr. of 2020. According to this Report, the total volume of revenues from electronic communications services (mobile and fixed voice, mobile and fixed broadband, audiovisual broadcasting, revenues from other activities in the field of electronic communications) was estimated at 1.5 billion lei (increased by 0.3%, compared to the first qtr. of 2019).

The revenues of pay TV market increased, compared to the first quarter of 2019 by 10.9% and reached 46 million lei, while the revenues on the mobile and fixed broadband market increased by 8.8% and 2.4%, and reached 298.6 million lei and 341.4 million lei accordingly. The volume of mobile voice sales increased by 0.7% and reached 746.4 million lei, the revenues from other activities in this sector increased by 19.9%, reaching 166 million lei. At the same time, the sales from fixed voice services decreased by 17.6% and totaled 97.1 million lei.

The most significant average monthly revenues per user (ARPU) were reported on the fixed broadband market - 168.7 lei and dedicated mobile broadband - 87.6 lei. This indicator on the mobile voice market was 69.8 lei, on the pay TV market - 45 lei, and on the fixed voice market - 30.4 lei.
