The total revenues from activities in the electronic communications sector (mobile and fixed voice, mobile and fixed broadband, retransmission of audiovisual programs and other) in the third qtr. of 2020 decreased versus the same period last year, by 5.1% and totaled slightly just over 1.5 billion lei, according to the Report on Market Evolution for the third Qtr. 2020, published on the official website of the National Regulatory Agency for Regulation in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI).
Revenues from pay TV services increased, versus the same period previous year, by 25.5% and reached 45.5 million lei. Revenues from mobile broadband services increased by 2.5 % and were estimated at 313.6 million lei, and from fixed broadband - increased by 0.9% and reached 346.4 million lei.
At the same time, the revenues from mobile and fixed voice services decreased by 8% and by 13.8%, to a total of 765 million lei and 91.8 million lei, accordingly. Revenues from other activities in the field of electronic communications decreased by 2.6% and were estimated at 170.7 million lei.
The most significant average monthly revenue per user was on the fixed broadband market - 165.7 lei, decreased by 6% versus the same period last year. The value of this indicator on the dedicated mobile broadband market was 92.6 lei, increased by 10.8%, on the mobile voice market it was 75.9 lei (-2.8%), on the pay TV market it was 43.4 lei (+ 20.3%), and on the fixed voice market it was 29.2 lei (-10.6%).
