National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

The National Regulatory Agency in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) announces for Friday, June 24, 2022, at 9.00, a public meeting to approve two draft Administrative Board Decisions:
1. The draft Decision for the modification of the Annex to Administrative Board Decisions no. 34/2011 on approval of the Regulation on Number Portability;
2. Draft Decision for modification of some previous Board Decisions;

The public consultation of the projects took place in the timeframe 27.05.2022-16.06.2022.

The recommendations received from stakeholders regarding the two draft documents are presented in the Synthesis of Recommendations no. 1 and no. 2.

According to Informative Note no. 1, this draft Decision is intended to amend the Annex to Administrative Board Decision no. 34/2011 on the approval of the Regulation on Number Portability, in particular, with a view to further ensuring the number portability service.

According to the Informative Note no. 2, this draft Decision aims to modify the Annex to Administrative Board Decision no. 8/2013 on the approval of the Technical and Commercial Conditions for the implementation of number portability in the Republic of Moldova and the approval of the Addendum to the standard General Agreement for the organization, operation, administration and maintenance of the centralized database for the implementation of number portability in the Republic of Moldova, approved by Administrative Board Decision no. 16/2013. Also through this project it is proposed to approve the Additional Act no. 3 to the Agreement on the organization, operation, administration and maintenance of the centralized database, which intends to extend this Agreement.

The above-mentioned draft documents aim to continue to offer the possibility to end users to switch, at their own will, the provider of publicly available electronic communications services, while retaining the phone number.
