Today, Dorin Recean, Prime Minister of Moldova, introduced Mr. Sergiu Gaibu, the new Director of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) to the regulator's staff. Appointed during the Government Meeting on April 19, Sergiu Gaibu will lead the institution for a four-year term of office.
During the meeting with the ANRCETI staff, the Prime Minister expressed his wishes for the new Director's success in his professional endeavors. He emphasized that the Director's extensive experience and professionalism would aid in strengthening the institution and increasing productivity in the electronic communications sector, which is a complex one and significant for the country's economy.
In response, Sergiu Gaibu expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for the trust and stressed out that he would rely on the support of the Government team and ANRCETI staff to efficiently fulfill his responsibilities. He also committed to working closely with all industry stakeholders, and together with the team, to making all necessary efforts to ensure that the institution contributes to the challenging task of aligning with European Union standards.
ANRCETI is a regulatory and supervisory authority in the field of electronic and postal communications in Moldova, with the role to ensure competitive conditions on the electronic communications market and protect the interests of users of electronic communications services.
