ANRCETI TEAM HOSTING EXPERT MISSION FACILITATED BY TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND INFORMATION EXCHANGE PROGRAM (TAIEX)

In the timeframe January 17-19, ANRCETI is hosting a TAIEX Mission delivered by a team of experts from the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications of Romania (ANCOM), led by Inga Popovici, expert in the Department of Strategy and Statistical Data at ANCOM.

The primary objective of this Expert Mission is to provide guidance to the ANRCETI team on the EU regulatory framework, the latest developments in this field, and the best practices in the EU related to the collection of relevant statistical indicators for monitoring electronic communications.

Throughout the Mission, the experts will share insights into methodologies for establishing a set of indicators for electronic communications networks and services, economic and financial indicators, along with a comprehensive description of these indicators.

ANRCETI specialists will present the current state of the statistical data collection system and will learn from ANCOM's experience in collecting, validating, and processing data. This includes discussions on various types of statistical indicators, the electronic data collection system of ANCOM, developed functionalities, and more.

Sergiu Gaibu, ANRCETI Director, underscored the significance of this technical assistance for the Agency's team, expressing the intention to adopt an efficient mechanism for collecting statistical indicators, capable to furnish the necessary, aggregated, and disaggregated data. Such data is crucial for conducting both specific and comprehensive analyses across the entire telecommunications market.

The TAIEX Program of the European Commission, serves as a vital tool for providing technical assistance and facilitating the exchange of information to harmonize national legislation with the European Union acquis.
