On June 12, a delegation of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), headed by Director Sergiu Gaibu, visited the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) in Romania. The visit took place within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two regulatory authorities in 2011 and was aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and promote common interests of the two regulators.
The discussions focused on regulatory issues, surveillance, statistics, spectrum management, and monitoring of radio frequencies, as well as the experience of the Romanian authority in transposing the EU directives and regulations in the field of electronic communications.
The participants to the meeting analyzed the preliminary results of the implementation of the Roaming Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and Romania over the past year, which are planned to be published in a joint report prepared by both authorities.
The managers of the regulatory authorities, Sergiu Gaibu and Valeriu Zgonea, expressed their gratitude for the exchange of experience between the two entities and their assurance that they will continue to support the development of the sectors in the interest of citizens.
