The National Agency for Regulation in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) has been selected to participate in a pilot study, organized by the International Bureau of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). This study provides for access to the OSCAR tool for postal communications providers. The study is planned to take place in the timeframe January - April 2020.
OSCAR (Online Solution for Carbon Analysis and Reporting) is an online platform, adapted for the postal communications sector, which allows postal communications providers to measure and analyze the level and source of carbon emissions, resulting from the postal operations they perform, as well as evaluate their mitigation options and track progress over time. OSCAR can be accessed at www.oscar.post.
Thus, ANRCETI encourages all postal communications providers to register and obtain a user account at oscar@upu.int and to report the necessary information, by April 30, 2020.
Access to OSCAR will be available free of charge throughout the entire study period. The reported information will be confidential, and the result will be available only to the provider who reported them.
To provide more information about the OSCAR instrument, ANRCETI has developed an informative block, which is accessible throughout the study, on the official website www.anrceti.md.
Other details can be obtained by calling: 022 251 334 – Petru Basiul, consultant DRAS, or by e-mail: petru.basiul@anrceti.md.
