In the timeframe July - September 2019, the total volume of revenues from the electronic communications services (mobile voice, mobile broadband, fixed voice, fixed broadband, audiovisual broadcasting, other activities in the field of electronic communications) decreased, compared to the third quarter of 2018, by 2.1% and equaled 1 billion 582.3 million lei. These are the data of the Report on Evolution of Electronic Communications Market in the third quarter of 2019, published today on the official website of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI).
The most significant drop of revenues - 22.4% - was attested on the fixed voice market, totaling 106.5 million lei. At the same time, the revenues from pay TV services decreased by 11.2%, reaching 36.3 million lei, and the revenues obtained from mobile voice services decreased by 0.4% and totaled 831,7 million lei. Revenues from other electronic communications activities decreased by 13.7% and reached 175.2 million lei.
At the same time, there was significant increase on two other market segments - mobile and fixed broadband. The revenues obtained from mobile broadband services increased by 9% and exceeded 306 million lei, and those from fixed broadband services - by 6.8% to a total of 343.3 million lei.
The highest monthly average revenue per user (ARPU) was attested on the fixed broadband market - 176.2 lei. On the market for dedicated mobile Internet access and mobile voice, the average monthly revenue was 83.6 lei and 78 lei accordingly. On the other market segments, this indicator had the following values: mobile broadband via smartphone - 39.1 lei, pay TV - 36.1 lei and fixed voice - 32.7 lei.
