Consumers can access information on quality of electronic communications services on www.anrceti.md

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) added a new page to its official Website www.anrceti.mdQuality of Public Electronic Communications Services, by means of which consumers can find data on service quality, reported to ANRCETI by electronic communications providers. The electronic page contains information on quality parameters measured by providers in quarter III of the current year.

By launching this electronic page ANRCETI aims to ensure the transparency of quality parameters, thus offering the consumers access to comparable information on quality of services provided by different providers. Having such information, the consumer will be able to evaluate his provider in terms of service quality, which will enable the consumer to better defend their rights and interests.

Previously, by an Administrative Board Decision (doc. in state language), ANRCETI established the quality parameters for seven types of public electronic communications services (fixed telephony, Internet access, IP protocol services, ISDN services, leased lines, mobile telephony and TV service) and required that providers quarterly measure these parameters.

The Decision also provides for the methods of measuring quality of service parameters, their values recommended by ANRCETI, content, form and manner of presentation of data on the measured parameters. Providers are required to quarterly submit these data to the regulator and subsequently publish them on their own websites.

The quality parameters of the services mentioned above mainly refer to the terms of connection to the network and start of service, expressed in calendar days; the deadlines for removing the technical faults in the network, expressed in hours; terms of complaint settlement, expressed in calendar days etc.

Data on the quality of public electronic communications services in the fourth quarter of 2013 will be published on ANRCETI website in February 2014.
