The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) launched public consultations on draft (doc. in state language) amendments to ANRCETI Administrative Board Decision no.126 of 02.06.2009, on establishing the categories of radio frequencies, the use of which in the republic of Moldova is not subject to general authorization and is allowed without a license or technical permit. The consultations are scheduled to last through July 15, 2014, which is the closing date of the consultations.
The explanatory note (doc. in state language) states that the amendments were developed with the view of bringing Administrative Board Decision no.126 of 02.06.2009 in line with the amendments to Recommendation ERC 70-03, made in 2014 by the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT).
The proposed amendment refers to Section 2 of the mentioned Administrative Board Decision and contains a new version of the Annex thereto. The reason behind developing a new version of the Annex was the significant number of changes and additions (over 50%) to be made in this document.
The draft amendments provides for 13 types of short-range (SRD) devices/equipment and the categories of radio frequency can be used license-free by their owners (transposed from Recommendation ERC 70-03, approved by CEPT) and two types of SRD and related categories of radio frequencies (reflected in Decision ERC/DEC (98)25 and Decision ERC/DEC (05)12).
The authors of the amendments specify that the available frequencies can be used in mandatory compliance with the conditions for their use, set out in Recommendation ERC 70-03 CEPT, Decision ERC/DEC(98)25, Decision ERC/DEC(05)12, as well as the technical Regulation "Technical Emission Parameters for Short-Range Devices", approved by Order of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology no.16 of 02.21.2014.
Respondents are invited to send comments and recommendations on the proposed amendments in written form, to postal address: 134, Stefan cel Mare, MD-2012, Chisinau, by fax: 022 222 885 or e-mail: office@anrceti.md. Contact: 022 251 312.
