On November 28-29, a delegation of the National Agency for Regulation in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), by Director Octavian RĂU, takes part in two events organized by the European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) in cooperation with the Consumer and Markets Authority (ACM) of the Netherlands: ERGP Plenary Meeting and Workshop on data-based regulation of postal services, held in the Hague, the Netherlands.
According to the Agenda, the Plenary Meeting delegates will approve the ERGP Work Program for 2020, the Report on the quality of postal services, consumer protection and handling complaints, as well as the ERGP Strategy for 2020-2022. This document aims to review the regulatory framework for postal services, promote competitiveness in the European Union's postal services market and ensure a universal postal service aimed at end users.
The Workshop Agenda comprises issues regarding the current ways of data collection and dissemination by ERGP, European Commission and other regulatory bodies. Participants will also analyze the current and prospective situation of the regulation of cross-border parcel .delivery services.
ERGP is the European body set up to advise and assist the European Commission in the field of postal services. The mission of the ERGP is to facilitate consultation, coordination and cooperation between regulatory authorities in the European Union, with a view of strengthening the internal market for postal services and applying the relevant legislation. ANRCETI has taken part in ERGP meetings, as an observer, since 2016.
