National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

ANRCETI representatives, headed by Deputy Director, Iurie Ursu, are taking part in the 13^th Regional Conference on Regulatory Activity in the Electronic Communications Sector, entitled „Expanding Broadband Access and Adoption”. The Conference is taking place on September 28-29, 2015, in Budva, Montenegro. The event is organized by the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Montenegro (EKIP).

The conference is attended by representatives of European Regulatory Agencies, Ministries, electronic communications operators, as well as representatives and experts of international organizations and institutions in charge of the regulation and development policy of electronic communications are invited to take part in the Conference.

The purpose of the Conference is to offer an opportunity for dialogue between the stakeholders on strategies and policies directed towards broadband development in the region, while discussing the challenges and opportunities offered via high speed networks and e-services provided over the modern infrastructure.

According to the agenda, the Conference addresses issues such as the current status of the electronic communications regulatory framework, policies and case studies as regards broadband development and challenges in terms of consumer protection. Delegates will also discuss broadband development plans for the future.
