The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) announces a public meeting for approval of the draft Administrative Board Decision on setting the conditions for charging calls to short numbers from 13xx number block (.pdf). The meeting is scheduled for July 1, 2019, 9:00 a.m., at ANRCETI office (134 Stefan cel Mare, 5th floor, Conference Room).
The draft decision was submitted to public consultation on www.anrceti.md from 17 April to 16 May 2019. The recommendations and proposals received on the project can be found in the Summary of Objections, Proposals and Recommendations.
The accompanying Information Note specifies that the draft decision was developed under Art. 82 (2) of the Electronic Communications Law no. 241/2007 and aims to regulate the maximum tariff for the calls to the numbers in block 13xx in order to boost the use of these numbering resources in the interest of the end users.
The draft document sets out unified rules for all mobile and fixed service providers as regards the maximum chargeable tariff for end-users for calls made to short numbers from 13xx number block. These numbers are allocated for non-communication services and can be used by economic entities serving electrical, thermal, gas, water, sewerage networks, etc. Given that these calls are often long-lasting, the approval of this decision will allow protection of users against large invoiced amounts for calls to the given services.
More details about the project can be obtained at by calling 0 22 251 337.
The project is available in versions: word: pdf:, in Romanian.
