On November 22 - 26, The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) will host a training program for ANRCETI specialists and electronic communications operators: ”Spectrum Management”. The workshop will be organized by international experts, consultants of the technical assistance project „Communications Regulatory Development”, delivered to ANRCETI.
The main purpose of this training program is to strengthen the capacities of the regulatory authority in terms of planning and assigning spectrum, management and monitoring, providing tools for efficient spectrum management. In most European countries, the functions of spectrum management and regulation are exercised by the national electronic communications regulatory Authorities.
The program will consist of five workshops, under separate themes related to spectrum management. The workshop participants will discuss issues related to spectrum planning, pricing, tendering for frequency assignment, the digital dividend and the regulation of broadband services. In each workshop, the expert will explain the methodologies and approaches on radio spectrum issues, present the EU best practices and examples in this regard.
The „Communications Regulatory Development” project is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and implemented by the Great Village International Consultants (GVIC) from Canada. The project was launched in 2009 and aims at providing ANRCETI with due assistance in the implementation of the Law on Electronic Communications and harmonization of the national regulatory practices with the EU norms and standards. The project is estimated at 898,3 thousand euro, and it is scheduled for 2 years.
