On October 21-23, a group of experts from the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) is taking part in a workshop for the electronic communications regulators from Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries - Accounting Separation and Regulatory Audit. The workshop is taking place in Yerevan, Armenia. It is one of the workshops within the EC technical assistance project ”Network of electronic communications regulators from EaP countries” and it is organized by the implementing company PricewaterHouse Coopers Slovacia.
The workshop attendees are experts of the six EaP countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) and from EU member states. This is the ninth workshop on topical issues organized for the regulators of EaP countries. The purpose of the workshops is to provide the necessary support to the beneficiaries to bring electronic communications regulatory practices in line with European standards.
The invited EU experts will present the best practices applicable for accounting separation implementation in EU member states and regulatory audit, whereas the representatives of the EaP regulators, including ANRCETI - the current situation in their countries as to these issues. The participants will hear the experience of regulators from Czech Republic and Lithuania in this area, will discuss the challenges in this area in EaP countries and ways of solving them, case studies and opportunities to streamline the implementation of accounting separation and regulatory audit.
Network of electronic communications regulators from EaP countries was established in September 2012 at a meeting of EaP regulators in Chisinau. The network’s mission is to ensure regular exchange of information and experience between EU and EaP regulators, harmonization of the national legal framework of the EaP countries with EU standards and implementation of best practices applied by European regulators.
