At the invitation of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), on November 19-22, the Director of National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), Grigore Varanita, is taking part in the worldwide forum - ITU Telecom World 2013 in Bangkok, organized by the ITU, with the support of the Ministry of industry and the telecommunications regulatory authority in Thailand.
The ITU Telecom World 2013 is the leading global platform for establishing relations of cooperation between the participants of the annual meeting and debate global issues pertaining to the ICT sector. The event is attended by heads of states and governments, ministers and heads of regulatory authorities, operators of communications and information technology industry.
The theme of the event in Bangkok is "Embracing Change in a digital World." The agenda includes topics such as the impact of new industry players and new technologies, changing user behavior, the need for new approaches to the regulation and standardization in this area.
During the Forum, ANRCETI Director Grigore Varanita, will have bilateral meetings with the heads of ICT regulatory authorities from Bulgaria, Macedonia and Poland. Fostering the cooperation relations between ANRCETI and Bulgarian regulator will be the subject discussed during the bilateral meeting with the head of Communication Regulatory Commission of Bulgaria, given that ANRCETI and CRC previously signed a cooperation agreement. The other two meetings will be devoted to establishing new bilateral cooperation relations with Poland and Macedonia and taking over their experience as regards ICT regulation.
