The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) has announced an auction on four 3400-3600 MHz licenses to be awarded for the provision of public electronic communications terrestrial mobile broadband wireless access and fixed access services. Interested stakeholders are invited to submit applications to participate and accompanying documents to ANRCETI office, before 13 March 2015: 134 Stefan cel Mare bd, MD-2012, Chisinau.
The auctioned licenses will be granted for 15 years. The license will give its holder the right to use a sub-band of frequencies (it is a block of 10 radio channels of 5 MHz width each) of 50 MHz total bandwidth for the provision of public electronic communications fixed broadband radio access type, nomadic, mobile directly to the user.
The auction is open for legal entities of the Republic of Moldova, foreign legal entities, civil societies/associations of legal entities from Moldova and/or abroad, who can make joint bids. The winners will be selected in an open, international competition, based on comparative selection procedure, in accordance with the criteria and conditions set out in the Terms of Reference, approved by the ANRCETI Administrative Board Decision 58 of 30.12.2014.
The auctioning of the four licenses is a provision of the Spectrum Management Program for 2013-2020, approved by Government Decree no. 116 of 02/11/2013. According to this document, the minimum auction price of a 3400-3600 MHz sub-band is 1 mil. EUR.
