Government Appointed a New Deputy Director of ANRCETI

By Decision no.1053 of 14 September 2016, the Government appointed Marian Pocaznoi as Deputy Director of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI). Previously, Pocaznoi had worked as Head of the Monitoring and Control Department of ANRCETI. Marian Pocaznoi was appointed Deputy Director for a four-year term of office. The Government Decision entered into force on September 16, when it was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova.

Marian Pocaznoi is 35 years old. He has a degree in Journalism and Communication Sciences and a degree in Law of the State University of Moldova, where he studied in 1998 - 2003 and in 2003 - 2007. In 2012 - 2015 he undertook post graduate studies at the Academy of Public Administration of Moldova and graduated it with Master's degree in political sciences.

For 12 years (2003 - 2015) Marian Pocaznoi worked in the Audiovisual Coordinating Council (ACC), in different positions: main specialist, consultant to the Audiovisual Coordinating Council, editor-in-chief of "Panoramic TV" magazine o the ACC and Chairman of the ACC in the timeframe 2011 - 2014. Starting December 1, 2015 through September 15, 2016 he worked as Chief of Monitoring and control Department of ANRCETI.

According to the Law on Electronic Communications, ANRCETI director and deputy directors are appointed by the Government for a four-year term of office. The Law also provides that none of the Administrative Board members can stay in term of office for more than eight years. The former Deputy directorof ANRCETI, Iurie Ursu, resigned as his second term of office expired.
