The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) announced for Thursday, March 17 at 14.00, a public meeting to review and submit for approval the draft amendments to Administrative Board Decision No.126 of 02.06.2009 on establishing the categories of radio frequencies, the use of which is not subject to general authorization in the Republic of Moldova and it is allowed without a license for the use of the radio frequencies / channels or a technical permit. The meeting will take place at ANRCETI premises (134, Ştefan cel Mare, bd, 5th floor, Conference Room).
The document has been subject to a public consultation on ANRCETI's website in the period February 18 - March 4. ANRCETI received no comments or recommendations on draft amendments.
The document was elaborated to update ANRCETI Administrative Board Decision No. 126 of 02.06.2009 (hereinafter - Decision no.126/2009) and bring it in line with the most recent modifications of the Technical Regulation ”Technical emission parameters of short range devices”, operated by order of the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications no. 82 of 19.10.2015, with the provisions of Recommendation ERC 70-03, with subsequent amendments of 30.09.2015, and Decision ERC(15)05 of 03.07.2015, approved by European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT).
According to the Informative Note that accompanies the document, the proposed amendments to Decision no. 126/2009 are of editorial nature, meant to specify and adjust the provisions of this normative act to the harmonized technical conditions for Short Range Devices (SRD).
The authors of the Note state that the Annex to Decision No. 126/2009 was subject to significant changes and it is written in revised form. It provides for the extension of the number of radio spectrum band for the applications: nonspecific SRD, SRD intended for data detection and accumulation and SRD for road traffic control systems; changing and completion of some names for some SRD applications to replace SRD frequency bands designated for them; elimination of SRD application of Digital Personal Mobile Radio Communications (PMR 446), with conditions of use set according to Decision ERC/DEC (05) 12 and merging of frequency bands for digital and analog PMR 446 in one category.
