National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) has placed on its Internet page, for public consultations, the draft Administrative Board Decision on approving the statistical reports forms for providers of public electronic communications networks and/or services. The deadline for recommendations is June 7, 2010.

The draft document was developed pursuant to the Law on Electronic Communications no.241–XVI of November 15, 2007, which provides for the right of the Agency to require and obtain, from providers of electronic communications networks and/or services, the necessary information, ensuring, where appropriate, its confidentiality, in particular for the elaboration of quarterly and annual statistical reports.

According to the Explanatory Note (doc. in state language), the authors of the draft decision motivate the need to develop and approve the new statistical report forms by the necessity to adjust them to the Law on Electronic Communications and to apply new indicators for market analysis, for the development of cost calculating models for certain services, delimitation of wholesale/retail services, etc.

The Agency has started to develop an instruction on how to fill in the new statistical report forms. The instruction shall be presented at the following stage of consultation on the draft decision.
