This is the first workshop of the four planned for 2015. The purpose of these workshops is to provide the EaP regulators with the necessary support in the harmonization of EaP regulatory practices with EU standards.
Experts from the EU regulators have been invited to present the approaches, regulations and experience on methodologies of financing the deployment of broadband infrastructure, shared use of these networks. In turn, representatives of the EaP regulators, including ANRCETI, will make presentations on the current situation in EaP countries in terms of regulation of access to broadband networks, including challenges and solutions.
EaPeReg network was founded in September 2012 in a Chisinau meeting of the EaP regulators. Its mission is to ensure exchange of information and experience between EaP and EU regulators in harmonization of national legal and regulatory frameworks to EU Acquis. In December 2014, EaPeReg and BEREC signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which provides for the involvement of BEREC experts in trainings and workshops planned by EaPeReg Network for 2015.
