The purpose of these meetings is to provide the necessary support to EaP regulators in harmonizing regulatory practices in electronic communications with European standards.
During the workshop, experts from EU countries will present approaches, regulations and experience in the implementation of national policies in terms of cyber security and protection of electronic communications networks and services, while the representatives of regulators from EaP countries, including ANRCETI, will present the current situation in their countries regarding the security of networks, services and confidentiality of users’ personal information. The participants will also discuss the existing challenges in EaP countries and possible solutions, case studies and best practices of cyber security risk and incident management.
EaPeReg Network was founded in September 2012 in a Chisinau meeting of the EaP regulators. Its mission is to ensure exchange of information and experience between EaP and EU regulators in harmonization of national legal and regulatory frameworks to EU Acquis and application of best European regulatory practices.
