Representatives of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI - www.anrceti.md) will participate in the eleventh meeting of Moldova-EU Cooperation Committee, as part of the official delegation of the country. The meeting will take place on 8 October in Brussels, Belgium.
The meeting will discuss subjects related to European integration progress made by Moldova in the period since the tenth meeting of the Moldova-EU Cooperation Committee of 23 October 2009 and the twelfth meeting of Moldova-EU Cooperation Council of June 15, 2010.
The agenda also includes issues related to regulatory reform, implementation of policies and regulations concerning electronic communications in the R. Moldova. In this session, ANRCETI Deputy Director, Ion Pochin, will present the recent developments in the regulatory process of electronic communications market and harmonization of national regulatory framework with the EU acquis.
The EU-Moldova Cooperation Council and EU-Moldova Cooperation Committee are two of the main structures responsible for political dialogue and monitoring of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Moldova and the European Union. The agreement was signed on November 28, 1994 and entered in force on 1 July 1998. The document is the legal basis for the relations between Moldova and the European Union.
