ANRCETI Attending Meeting of Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC)

On November 5 - 6, Mr. Iurie Ursu, Deputy Director of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), is taking part in a joint meeting of the Board of RCC Heads of Regional Administrations in the field of communications and the Coordination Council for Informatisation of the CIS member states members of RCC, an event taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan Republic.

Delegations from CIS Member States, from Eastern European countries, representatives of international specialized institutions announced their participation in the meeting. The Agenda comprises a set of problems related to the development of telecommunications and information technology, including ensuring the security of information provided by means of electronic services, creating a trustworthy cross-border space on the Internet between CIS member countries, the results of monitoring the ICT development in these countries etc.

After the RCC meeting, the participants will attend the 18th International Scientific Exhibition-Conference "BakuTel-2012" and Internet Governance Forum (IGF). According to the organizers, these events are designed to help strengthen regional cooperation in the field of communications and information technology.

The Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC) was created on December 17, 1991 by national telecommunications administrations of the CIS countries for the purpose of inter-state coordination of postal and communications activities. The membership is 12 full-right members and 7 observers. The sector Ministry became full-right member of the RCC in December 1991.
