ANRCETI SIGNED COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH UKE FROM THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) of the Republic of Moldova and the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) from the Republic of Poland signed a cooperation agreement in the field of electronic communications. The document was signed on July 3, in Warsaw, by ANRCETI Director Octavian Rau and UKE President Marcin Cichy.

The signing of the document took place during the working visit of the ANRCETI Director to Warsaw, to attend a workshop organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in cooperation with the Electronic Communications Office (UKE) of the Republic of Poland , on workshop on mapping broadband infrastructure

The document sets out the objectives, areas and tools for cooperation among the parties, including: mutual consultations and exchange of information on the establishment of strategies and mechanisms for active cooperation in joint projects, setting up of expert teams, organization of joint visits and workshops in the field of electronic communications regulation.

The ANRCETI Director, Octavian Rău, believes that this agreement will launch the cooperation in electronic communications regulation between the regulators of Republic of Moldova and Republic of Poland, which, in 2020, will take over the chairmanship of the Eastern Partnership Regulators Network (EaPeReg), stressing that the exchange of experience with the colleagues in Warsaw will boost the achievement of the Republic of Moldova's objectives regarding the conclusion of roaming agreements with the PaE countries and will be of great benefit for ANRCETI specialists in creating the Digital Map of electronic communications network and services.

ANRCETI enters into cooperation agreements with the relevant regulatory authorities from the European Union (EU) countries based on Art. 100 of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement. In the recent years, ANRCETI has signed such agreements with regulatory authorities from Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Macedonia and Croatia.
