At the invitation of the ITU leadership, officials from the National regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) are taking part in the global Symposium of Regulators (GSR13) in electronic communications and information technology (ICT) that is taking place these days (July 3 - 5) in Warsaw, Poland. The Symposium is organized by the ITU in collaboration with the ministry of Administration and Digitalization and the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) of Poland.
The Symposium brings together heads of national ICT regulatory authorities from around the world being the global annual venue for regulators to share their views and experience on the most important regulatory issues. GSR has the mission to foster the global dialogue between regulators, policy makers, industry and other stakeholders interested in meeting the ICT development objectives.
The theme of the 13th GSR is „4th Generation Regulation: driving digital communications ahead”. The first two days of the GSR are open to regulators, policy makers, ITU-D Sector members; the third day will remain exclusive for regulators and policy makers. The participants will examine the aspects of gradual transition to ICT regulation in a society connected on the basis of 4G principles, the best practices and the role of 4G regulation.
The delegates will share views regarding issues connected with the use of spectrum and digital dividend, implementation of standards and their role in ICT entrepreneurial activity, digital transactions in a modern society, principles of 4G regulation and the changing role of regulators.

ITU is a specialized Agency of the United Nations promoting policies of communications development and standardization. The Republic of Moldova has been a full member of the International Telecommunications Union since October 1992. The first Global Symposium of Regulators, organized by the ITU, took place in 2000.
