On May 4 - 14, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI - www.anrceti.md) will host a new mission of the technical assistance project offered to ANRCETI by the consulting company Great Village International Consultants (GVIC) of Canada, financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
In this timeframe, a team of experts of GVIC will deliver several workshops (May 5, 6, 12, 13) for the regulator and industry focused on modern issues of electronic communications market development, such as management of numbering resources, implementation of number portability, access to the local loop, market analysis.

The mentioned technical assistance project Communications Regulatory Development is scheduled to be implemented in the timeframe October 2009 - October 2011. Its purpose is to provide assistance in the implementation of the Electronic Communications Act and the adjustment of national regulatory practices to the EU norms and standards. The consulting company GVIC was appointed as executor of the EBRD project.
The next stage of the assistance project will take place on May 20 - 21. The Agency management believes that this program will enhance the institutional capacity and effectiveness of regulatory activities pursued by ANRCETI.
The Communications Regulatory Development project is the second technical assistance project offered to the electronic communications regulator of Moldova. The first project was designed to assist the country in creating the regulator and was provided by USAID, in 2000 – 2002.
